We offer learning that is meaningful, authentic and matched to individual needs. For learning to be relevant to our students, it is designed based on what students already know and are interested in. Students at Lobethal PS are encouraged to be curious, confident and capable learners who take interest and action in their own community and world.

Students have the opportunity to learn in and beyond the classroom with a range of specialist programs on offer. Students can learn an instrument; play in a rock band; use technology to design and create ideas; grow and harvest food and spend full days immersed in heritage listed bushland at Bushland Park.

Classes are grouped in composite year levels across the school. Learning is differentiated for the natural variation in skills and understanding occurring within the class, using the Australian Curriculum as the foundation.

Every class begins their day with a ‘Welcome Circle’ to foster a sense of worth and belonging for every child and positive relationships and class culture.
