Lobethal
Primary School has a proud heritage serving the needs
of the
local township and its environs. As
a community school,
it aims
to provide a caring and positive learning environment in
which
children develop their potentials and skills, and attitudes of
independence,
responsibility and self discipline as well as respect
for self
and others, which will enable them to prosper in an ever
changing
world.

The
first primary school was established in Lobethal in 1855.
The
present school was built in 1904 on this side and the old
building,
consisting of two classrooms and the Principal’s
residence
was incorporated into the new complex and opened
in 1979.
