Welcome to Lobethal Primary School

Lobethal Primary School is a Reception to Year 7 School in the Adelaide Hills. The school was established in 1857 on Main St and moved to its current location in 1903. The school values of excellence, respect, resilience, independence and responsibility are reinforced throughout school activities and celebrations. School priorities include mathematics, science, english and student/staff wellbeing. Staff, students and parents are actively involved in school planning. The school hosts an Out of School Hours Care program catering for before- and after- school care as well as vacation care programs. All students R to 7 participate in music and Japanese lessons with specialist teachers. We provide a 'New Arrivals Program' for a group of Vietnamese students. Further, the Student Representative Council is supported by the school counsellor and is active, with weekly class and SRC meetings. Our outdoor classroom comprises a bird garden, frog pond, vegetable patch, mud cob oven, chickens, worm farm, fruit trees and a small amphitheatre. Students are active in school sports through SAPSASA events and local weekend sports.
